Goal

Kasbi Man offers tools and resources to guide career decisions.

Description

The KasbiMan Career Counseling Portal represents a significant milestone in Tajikistan’s efforts

to modernize career guidance and empower its youth. Developed through a partnership between

UNICEF, the European Union, and supported by the Ministries of Education and Labor, the portal

leverages AI-powered assessments, modern web technologies, and rich multimedia content to

guide students aged 11–24 in making informed decisions about their educational and professional

futures. The portal was piloted and tested across all regions, improved based on user feedback,

and formally handed over to the Ministry of Education and Science in May 2025, with full source

code, technical documentation, and post-handover support included. A comprehensive

satisfaction survey shows moderate to high satisfaction with portal usability and content, with

notable improvement areas identified and addressed. The portal’s successful deployment paves

the way for long-term institutional ownership and future enhancements to ensure sustained

impact.

Key portal features and capabilities:

− AI Career Test: Personalized questionnaire sending results to the ML model, returning

ranked profession clusters with associated education pathways.

− Educational Content: Hundreds of profession profiles (350+), sector overviews, video and

text lessons, career articles, and downloadable guides for job seekers.

− Multi-language Interface: Fully supports Tajik, Russian (and partial English) with plans for

text-to-speech, and accessibility modes for users with impairments.

− Admin Panel: Role-based access for MoES staff to add/edit professions, courses, and

articles; to view anonymized user statistics; and to export data and feedback.

− Technical Infrastructure: Front-end and back-end components are containerized with clear

deployment instructions and hosted on Google Cloud, with recommended specs (Ubuntu

20.04, ≥16 GB RAM, 4–8 vCPU, 100 GB SSD).
